We certainly can. Healing happens from the inside out.
When we begin to slow down, go within our bodies, learn about how our bodies behave during chronic stress, become one with our bodies wisdom, and rest in states of deep nourishment, we can flourish. We begin to notice the unconscious detection of threat or safety from our bodies that we are picking up from our environment and our relationships.
Many of us are hoping to transform core patterns in our lives. I work with early development trauma patterning and attachment, embodiment, complex trauma, inner children, birth trauma, mother & father wounding, codependent relating, sexuality, inherited family trauma, ancestral healing, and more.
We need a space to dive in to the mysteries of life. We need to honour and protect the experience of integrating our wounding back into our bodies. Our true nature within can be reclaimed. When you feel supportive and safe, your being is always aligning itself to health and healing.
Being an adult is very challenging – and many of us begin our lives with early developmental trauma. Challenges we didn’t create. Challenges that are hidden from us – that we don’t remember or know about. They exist in the memory of our body and our psyche and there isn’t a day our life is not impacted by them, even if we don’t consciously realize it.
I offer you a supportive environment for lovingly and spaciously uncovering early life experiences we may not remember as adults. Experiences that show up in the body as pain, tightness, anxiety, stuckness and more. This helps us access more life force and make new choices about how we live.
You grew your body and nervous system inside your biological mother.
How your mother is feeling, the lifestyle she lived, what she ate and her relationships, all impact your developing brain and nervous system. This lays the groundwork for how you sleep as an adult, how you nurture and take care of yourself, how you feel and show up in intimate relationships and what you attune to and pay attention to in your life.
The first significant movement and action you ever went through was your birth. No matter the circumstances, it is a challenging and potentially a life-threatening (too often so) experience.
Your first experience entering the world in your body sets the stage for how you complete projects and tasks, engage in transitions and big events in your life and how your brain and body move together.
As infants, we are a sponge of the world at this stage of development – deeply taking into their being the feelings and thoughts that mother and father (if he is there or not).
None of us survive without loving and being loved. Attachment and bonding are essential to nourishment, learning, rest, curiosity and the most important experience of belonging.
How your bonds formed or didn’t form with your family set the stage for how you form and maintain relationships as an adult.
As little ones are too often presented with difficult choices – do I get to be me, do I get to belong and what can I do to be attached to my caregivers. This sets the underlying survival strategy and inner conflict that I may not fully get to be me and also be loved.
Creating a space to slow down to explore and understand our inner little one opens the possibility for us to choose differently as adults and have both authenticity and belonging.
We use a combination about many modalities including Somatic Experiencing, Somatic Resilience & Regulation, Transforming the Experience-Based Brain, The Polyvagal Theory, Autonomic Nervous System Mapping, The Safe & Sound Listening Protocol and Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma, we work closely with your body’s deeply held threat/fear/stress responses, allowing your body to slowly begin to move towards safety.
The social engagement system broadcasts and receives signs of warning and welcome. Through information sent from someone’s eyes, voice, eyes. face and gestures, we know if they are safe to approach and can intentionally use these pathways to send an invitation for connection.

You will have the opportunity to work with these challenges in your body-mind so you can develop more capacity to be present with what is and find true healing and awakening.

The presence of our own being is a powerful healing force. As we awaken to/as being and allow it to fully meet all our humanness as it is, we are healed and transformed from within.
You don’t need to be concerned with changing who you are or figuring out how to solve all your problems. You can’t erase your painful past. These goals will keep your mind busy forever and won’t bring you the happiness you long for.
Right now in this moment, you can relax away from the stressful mind and lean into the open, loving space of being aware that is completely at ease with things as they are.
And this is what’s true in any moment.
Slow down and recognize what is present for you.
- Instead of feeding the story of lack and limitation for one more second, you become aware of the breath.
- Instead of embellishing the drama of your emotions, you expand your attention to be aware of physical sensations appearing in your body.
- Then letting go of the breath and physical sensations, you rest in presence, coming home to the peace of your true nature.
Conditioned programming recurs—that’s its nature. It pulls you into ruminating about the past and worrying about what might come. When you enter the timeless now, and it’s an all-encompassing, naturally welcoming field of presence that holds everything with love.
Working with themes such as early development trauma, medical trauma and chronic pain, and examining how our bodies have constricted over time to help us survive. Although once effective in our survival, they are no longer required to constrict us. Using somatic practices, release techniques and embodiment attunement exercises to reduce body constrictions and enhance one’s vitality and restore resilience and well-being.
Experience yourself living and being in an unrestricted body. Soften years of holding, gripping and straining melt away. What to Expect During a Whole Body Health Somatic Practice –
Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma Session
For true emotional and physical healing, we can’t leave our body and how it feels and responds, out of the process. Each person needs something very specific in their healing journey, which is why it is so important to have a customized approach with sessions that are specifically tailored for you – a combination of emotionally-focused psychotherapy and body-focused Transforming Touch, Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma.
Your body doesn’t have energy – it is energy. When we allow traumatic stress that is contained in our nervous system to begin to move through our system – flow begins to happen in our body and we feel more energetic, grounded, healthy and alive.
We explore our fluid bodies through the language of sensation, co-regulating touch,and subtle movement. We have the opportunity of allowing time to slow down, to notice, let go and shed that which needs to shed, and to come through anew and refreshed.
For those who would like to focus on a body-focused, somatic approach, we begin by talking about your background, symptoms and history. We do this online and or in-person by sitting in chairs across from each other or you lie on your back on a table. When you are sitting in a chair, we can do some talk therapy, and you may also be asked if you are open to closing your eyes and noticing your feelings, emotions and body sensations that are happening for you in each moment.
For those who would like to do Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma Session – sessions consist of lying on a table with eyes closed – and I offer touch on several areas of the body: the head, stress organs, the belly, and joints in the body.
Sessions are done fully clothed. Each session is one-hour, unless we are doing an extended session – and is unique depending on what you are experiencing on that day and would like to focus on during a session – we want to tune in and understand what’s really going on in your body – beyond pathology and diagnoses – to allow your body to move into a flow state, rather than to remain stuck in a stress response state – during the session and in the hours and days afterwards.

Co-Regulating Touch Trauma Resolution Bodywork = Somatic Healing
The POLYVAGAL THEORY – SAFE & SOUND PROTOCOL OFFERING – The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is an auditory listening intervention for adults and children – using headphones – that is intended to accelerate the effectiveness of other modalities by preparing each person’s emotional and physiological state. Dr. Stephen Porges (developer of The Safe & Sound Protocol & of The Polyvagal Theory) explains that we need a calm autonomic/physiological state for health, growth and restoration, and achieving this becomes the foundation of an effective therapy.
The Safe & Sound Protocol is a way to support a change in your physiological state; opening the system to further neural change and improvement for other therapies that follow. The process is designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. The intervention uses prosodic vocal music that has been filtered to train the middle ear muscles to focus in on the frequency envelope of human speech. You’ll find you are better able to feel calm – less chronically stressed and/or anxious. Clients who have experienced long-held trauma and are healing from PTSD, troubling chronic health concerns, chronic pain and troubling chronic emotional responses, can experience an increased sense of safety in their physiological state.
HEART HEALING SESSIONS – Heart healing sessions are all about you, your path and healing. It is about several sessions scheduled over a period of days to support you along your healing path.
My clients love this work, it is nourishing and gentle. It is wonderful for healing early developmental trauma, attachment repair and shifting to a more regulated place where the heart can freely open into abundance.
You may want to schedule these sessions as a focused time for letting go of all that you healing. Heart Healing sessions consist of combining several sessions over a short period of time. They are a great way to get out of your daily routine and be immersed in healing. We may meet for multiple sessions per day over 2-4 days. Since you will be out of your typical routine, this will give plenty of time for integration of the work and healing.
The Heart Healing Sessions are held in my office in Markham. You can schedule between 2-4 sessions over a period of days. Since this work is done away from your typical day to day life, integration of the work is deep and truly transformative.

OTHER Offerings – NURTURE SURROUND HEALING SESSION– 90-minute In-Person session. Allow yourself to slow down and experience deep healing. You are deeply supported on the table with weighted blankets, soft pillows and bean bags on your body – you choose what is most comfortable for you – providing soft, nurturing care – feeling supported and held – with choice. We will take time to attune to your body’s core needs and comfort at a deep level. Your needs are important. I will use a variety of touch skills with you – and invite you to place a hand wherever you would like to on your body – and to pause, slow down and notice what you feel.
Using mind-body skills to stabilize your nervous system – befriending, grounding, slowing down, tracking and resourcing. We will listen to your body’s narrative while utilizing body-mind emotion dialogue. We will explore biological survival strategies and process historical trauma by creating moment-to-moment interpersonal experiences of safe connection. We will utilize non-cognitive senses of relational connection – auditory, visual, movement, and touch – co-creating manageable ways to defuse internal feelings of pressure, anxiety and stress.
