Deep within us, we are filled with unconditional love. There is an endless reserve of love within us that we regularly lose touch with. I will remind you. Unconditional love is real and if we take time to be still, we can feel it.
When we begin to explore what’s happening within, we realize that our feelings inside do not depend on the shifting sands of the world around us. We can find true freedom, love and joy when we can let go of the need to control or manipulate our surroundings in order to be happy.
As we look within, we may begin to realize that we’ve abandoned our feelings a long time ago. Maybe our parents told us that crying was a sign of weakness, or that it was inappropriate to get angry.
When your emotions become suppressed and when they do, they don’t disappear, they slowly build up until they explode in bursts of rage or in anxiety or depression.
As your experience of unconditional love expands, your emotions will start to flow more spontaneously. When we allow space for feeling sadness, anger, and pain, we open ourselves to the flow of what’s happening within us.
When we feel our emotions, we begin to understand and feel true peace and love within ourselves. When we no longer feel the need to repress or deny how we’re feeling, we begin to live more fully in each moment, without judging ourselves.
