Refilling the Well – Wholehearted Embodied Somatic Healing – Energy Medicine to Heal Your Hidden Trauma Imprint – Bringing Ease to Your Present Moment Experience – Heal Attachment Wounds, Deeply Held Survival, Chronic Stress & Defensive Patterns – Awaken Your Body & Heal Your Heart.

“At some point a fierce inner drive arises, not just to survive – but to be free.” Roma Hammel

Close your eyes, slow down and soften.
Allow yourself to breathe and feel your body.
Soften, allow ease, be with what you notice.
Does this happen to you? No matter how much you want things to be different, here you are again with emotions grabbing you. You’re consumed in frustration, overpowered by jealousy, or struggling with anxiety or pain.

When these common experiences visit you, how do you meet them?
With frustration and resistance, just wanting them to go away?
There must be a kinder way for us to be with ourselves…

I invite you to take a moment to notice the presence of your flowing, alive heart. Notice what your heart is seeking to share with you. And receive all that is there.

I am sending so much love to all those hearts who are struggling right now.

We are being called to remember ancient ways of being in our hearts and bodies at this time the of change, challenge and uncertainty that are living through.

And to live life as a flowing, living prayer through the power of embodiment and ritual, rooted in our belonging to the earth.
When we take time to fill our well – we grow regulation in our nervous system, the way we do when doing somatic healing work, we can begin to tap into and unleash all of that potential and goodness that gets trapped beneath our deeply held survival responses.
Some of these benefits include resolving our stress response(s) and heal trauma naturally, being more productive in our daily tasks and career, better digestion, immune system health, better health, improved quality of relationships, and a lot more. These aren’t ALL the benefits that come with greater nervous system regulation, because the benefits we experience are relative to what our health and life needs most.

We spend the first six years or so of our lives in a version of a hypnotic trance, with our brain acting essentially as a tape recorder downloading information and experiences without the benefit of a filter to make sense of those experiences. What we receive, we essentially receive without question, as truth. Because of this, what we experience and receive in our infant years – our pre-verbal years – literally lives in every cell of our body.
This is how it is possible to come into adulthood, having processed the traumas and distorted images from our early years, have insight about them in therapy, yet still be ruled by them, no matter how subtly. We act as though some things are true, because the body remembers.
Integrative Somatic Bodywork for Trauma Healing provides support and healing for those long-held early developmental, hidden childhood experiences that your body holds – and offers you a refreshed way to be in the world.
Our infant body acts as a big sponge, soaking up experience, acclimating and attuning itself to the environment it has been born into. This is epigenetics in action, this is survival.
The way that your mother or caregiver handled our infant body and connected with us emotionally has everything to do with our ability as a child, budding adolescent, and young adult to trust our body, feel comfortable in it, receive touch openly, and feel ourselves worthy of love.
Whether our mother or caregiver touched our infant body with gentleness, confidence, permission, and warning, especially when changing diapers, can set the stage in an unconscious, every-cell-in-our-body way for how safe we feel and how we respond to relational and sexual contact in our life.
A caregiver who makes no emotional connection to the infant while feeding, changing and playing together, can create a context where on some level the infant needs to distance themselves from this touch. The infant can become shut down to it. Also, if the caregiver reacts to the infant’s bodily wastes with disgust and avoidance, whether anything is said out loud, that message is transmitted as well, and the infant adjusts its self-concept to include that response.
When we’ve experienced less than ideal attunement from our caregivers, our physical body begins to tighten or become defensive in the way we are in the world – these are our defensive, protective strategies. These protective, adaptive strategies are formed in the early years of our lives and they can effect our relationships, sense of ease within ourselves and the way that feel emotionally in the world – both on our own and with other people.
Giving your body your full attention helps you see things from your body’s point of view. As you go through your day, tune in to your internal dialogue now and then to assess your mind-body relationship. You might be surprised to hear what your mind is saying about your body.
Together, we notice feelings of safety – or the absence of threat – and we focus on supporting these feelings somatically in our bodywork together. There’s no chronic stress response, chronic emotional patterns and chronic illness without early developmental trauma and deeply held survival patterns.

Here’s what we will do together:

– Build neurological resilience
Build a felt sense of your boundaries and practice them
Create a relationship and dialogue with your younger part
– Become an individual in your family, relationships and life
Uncover a process of speaking to yourself with compassion
– Heal deeply held early developmental trauma, ancestral trauma and shock trauma
– Feel and heal your connection to self and others
– Uncover your beliefs and heal chronic emotional states
– Experience healing on the energetic level
– Experience healing with vibration and movement
– Be responsible for your own emotions and reactions

Explore pleasure for yourself. What does that mean for you?

For realizing the undivided, fundamental consciousness that is experienced as your innermost nature.

For feeling more alive, more at home in your own body, more connected to yourself and to other people.

For healing from trauma, and releasing trauma-based constrictions from your bodymind.

For knowing yourself as the embodiment of nondual presence and openness.

The Embodiment Healing Process is a direct path to embodied nondual awakening. It is a series of powerful but gentle, precise attunement practices for realizing your own nature as fundamental consciousness– an undivided expanse of luminous transparency, pervading your body and environment as a unity.

Pervading your body, fundamental consciousness is the basis of your sense of existing as an individual. It deepens and refines all of your human capacities: for physical sensation, emotional responsiveness, understanding, and perception. It opens you to your innate happiness. Pervading your body and environment, fundamental consciousness is the basis of an actual experience of oneness with everything around you. It enriches and refines your contact with other people and with all of nature.

The Embodiment Process is a gentle path to living with more ease and pleasure. With simple exercises and meditations, we learn to inhabit our true nature so that we can feel more authentic, self-confident, and clear.

Our spiritual journey is our path to knowing our whole selves – our unique beingness and our timeless, boundless true nature. However you are walking that path, The Embodiment Process invites you back to the wonder and intelligence we discover when we fully inhabit our bodies. As our senses brighten, the vibrancy of our felt sense of beingness intensifies and we directly experience our essential nature.

What does our trauma, pain and darkness have to teach us? We must enter into this pain and fully encounter your own body to truly know for sure. Many of us are in the habit of ignoring our bodies and pushing through – what happens when we slow down and and feel.

Your body is always drawing you towards healing, if you only you can learn to listen. Your body is your home – this is where you belong – a process of liberation, forgiveness and healing and living more deeply in your precious body.

The work will help you uncover what is buried deeply in your body and heart. Your heart is aching for you to come home – to discover a flow and cohesiveness that our body craves.

When we listen to the wisdom and messages of our body as sacred, this creates a space for flow to unfold within our nervous systems through energy completing.

At the very heart of my soul work is supporting women to listen deeply to the body memories that arise in the present moment experiences as a gateway of their homecoming and to redream their stories with new mythic maps, especially as we expand into our heart legacy and soul offerings in deeper ways.

I am deeply devoted to supporting others to embody at a cellular level in their tissues and DNA their values, gifts, wisdom and magic – and to living and breathing the embodiment of this in every cavern of my life.

I love the ways life invites me to embody this even more deeply heartbeat by heartbeat. If there’s one thing I wish you knew, it is this: it’s possible to bring ease to your present moment experience.
Sure, you can get caught up in fearful stories and go on in your mind about what shouldn’t have happened. You can doubt yourself endlessly and analyze every little detail about you and everyone else. You can judge, compare, and dramatize everything. And this is what most of us call normal life. But in any moment, we can shift our perspective. Yes, it’s possible.

  • We can take a breath and get a timeout from all the thinking.
  • We can watch thoughts floating through the space of open awareness rather than being hooked into their content.
  • We can experience life through the aliveness of our senses instead of through the veil of the thinking mind.

We don’t need to change or fix one single thing to be at ease with our present moment experience. We don’t need to create better thoughts or banish feelings. We’re only asked to be kind and friendly with whatever we’re experiencing. And that simple shift changes everything.

We wake up to realize we’ve been disconnected from ourselves. It’s a moment of grace when conscious awareness is revealed to illuminate what’s actually happening in our experience. Like a breath of fresh air, we come home to ourselves. Turning away from the mind and outer world, we look inward—with loving curiosity—to notice what emotions are present and how we feel in our bodies.

So many women are walking around disconnected from their internal experience. We have shut down our wisdom, our body, our voice, our intuition. The unresolved stories of our past continue to repeat in the present, keeping us disconnected from our deepest, wisest, heartful selves. Our bodies hold and tell the stories of the past.

Our tensions, fears and unresolved stress and trauma will show up as constriction, stuckness, anxiety, depression, loss of meaning and purpose. The trapped energy of our life force remains buried within, dimming the light that we are.Imagine how life would be if you were no longer held back by unresolved issues of the past. How would you feel if you could reclaim those lost and frozen parts of yourself? What if you had access to your deepest potential?

Learn to listen to the language of your body and release bound patterns of constriction. You can heal old layers of hurt, fear and beliefs that hold you back. You can begin to recover the lost and ‘frozen in time’ parts of yourself. Rescue those parts that have become orphaned along the way. It’s time to reclaim your authenticity, life energy, deep wisdom, spontaneity, heart, intuition and voice! You can come to know yourself again as a wholehearted embodied being. This is your greatest return, returning home to your deepest and most authentic self.

I support women to uncover the root cause of the emotional and physical symptoms that they are experiencing. Our symptoms can be indications that our bodies and lifestyles are out of balance.  With a special interest in chronic stress, chronic pain, ongoing chronic women’s health concerns, including eating disorders, cycles of anxiety, overwhelm and and hormonal health – from PMS and fertility to menopause, and digestive issues.

If you find yourself repeating painful patterns in your relationships – and/or are you often feeling frustrated, overwhelmed or anxious?

Perhaps you’re ready to stop avoiding, numbing, fighting, running or dissociating from the pain? I can support you to heal long-held trauma that shows up as working too much, eating disorders, addition to drugs and alcohol, chronic stress, pain and illness.

I support people to connect to their core self: This alone can begin to restore what was lost through developmental trauma and life’s circumstances. We each have within us everything we need to recover from what happened to us, or what should’ve happened that did not.

Our world needs heart healing right now.

Deep heart presence.

I am deeply devoted to supporting others to remember the innate deep wisdom of their hearts as part of my journey.

Be ever so gentle with your heart.

I look forward to being with you.

sending soft love, Kim xoxoxo

What to Expect During a Whole Body Health Somatic Practice Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma Session

For true emotional and physical healing, we can’t leave our body and how it feels and responds, out of the process. Each person needs something very specific in their healing journey, which is why it is so important to have a customized approach with sessions that are specifically tailored for you – a combination of emotionally-focused psychotherapy and body-focused Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma.

Your body doesn’t have energy – it is energy. When we allow traumatic stress that is contained in our nervous system to begin to move through our system – flow begins to happen in our body and we feel more energetic, grounded, healthy and alive.

We explore our fluid bodies through the language of sensation, co-regulating touch, and  subtle movement. We have the opportunity of allowing time to slow down, to notice, let go and shed that which needs to shed, and to come through anew and refreshed.

For those who would like to focus on a body-focused, somatic approach, we begin by talking about your background, symptoms and history. We do this online and or in-person by sitting in chairs across from each other or you lie on your back on a table. When you are sitting in a chair, we can do some talk therapy, and you may also be asked if you are open to closing your eyes and noticing your feelings, emotions and body sensations that are happening for you in each moment.

For those who would like to do Co-Regulating Touch Bodywork for Trauma Session – sessions consist of lying on a table with eyes closed – and I offer touch on several areas of the body: the head, stress organs, the belly, and joints in the body.

Sessions are done fully clothed. Each session is one-hour, unless we are doing an extended session – and is unique depending on what you are experiencing on that day and would like to focus on during a session – we want to tune in and understand what’s really going on in your body – beyond pathology and diagnoses – to allow your body to move into a flow state, rather than to remain stuck in a stress response state – during the session and in the hours and days afterwards.

NEW Offering – HEART HEALING Sessions – Heart healing sessions are all about you, your path and healing. It is about several sessions scheduled over a period of days to support you along your healing path.

My clients love this work, it is nourishing and gentle. It is wonderful for healing early developmental trauma, attachment repair and shifting to a more regulated place where the heart can freely open into abundance.

You may want to schedule these sessions as a focused time for letting go of all that you healing. Heart Healing sessions consist of combining several sessions over a short period of time. They are a great way to get out of your daily routine and be immersed in healing. We may meet for multiple sessions per day over 2-4 days. Since you will be out of your typical routine, this will give plenty of time for integration of the work and healing.

The Heart Healing Sessions are held in my office in Markham. You can schedule between 2-4 sessions over a period of days. Since this work is done away from your typical day to day life, integration of the work is deep and truly transformative.

I am sending softness, gentleness and love from my heart to yours. May you slow down and receive the wisdom your body is seeking to share with you breath by breath.

Let’s plan your sessions in advance – if you are interested in scheduling or have questions, please get in touch and we will make a plan for your visit. [email protected] /

POLYVAGAL THEORY Safe & Sound Protocol OFFERING – The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is an auditory intervention for adults and children – using headphones – that is intended to accelerate the effectiveness of other modalities by preparing the client’s emotional and physiological state. Dr. Stephen Porges (developer of The Safe & Sound Protocol & of The Polyvagal Theory) explains that we need a calm autonomic/physiological state for health, growth and restoration, and achieving this becomes the foundation of an effective therapy.  The Safe & Sound Protocol is a way to support a change  in your physiological state; opening the system to further neural change and improvement for other therapies that follow. The process is designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. The intervention uses prosodic vocal music that has been filtered to train the middle ear muscles to focus in on the frequency envelope of human speech. You’ll find you are better able to feel calm – less chronically stressed and/or anxious.  Clients who have experienced long-held trauma and are healing from PTSD, troubling chronic health concerns, chronic pain and troubling chronic emotional responses, can experience an increased sense of safety in their physiological state.
