In the Flow – Opening to All of Your Feelings
When you open to the FLOW of your feelings, you step in to the FLOW of your life.
Many people want to experience more passion and JOY in their lives. If so, we need to feel everything.
If we block the flow of bad feelings, or if we numb them with our busyness, work, tv, surfing the web, or relationships that do not fulfill us, we also block the flow of good feelings too.
We may get into the habit of blocking out feelings because they just feel TOO bad. Many people tell me that they fear that once they start feeling the bad feelings, they won’t ever stop.
Let me reassure you — sad or depressed feelings won’t last forever.
Feelings brought on by changes in your life such as, the end of a significant relationship; a move to a new city, downsizing, layoffs or a transition into a new career, may all bring about feelings of sadness, grief, anxiety or depression.
When we give your feelings space and time to process, they will pass.
All of us will carry pockets of depression, anxiety and sadness, and we want to honour them and find out what they mean for us. Some parts of our lives now may no longer fit for us, and it can be painful to let go and move on.
Most of us did not get permission to take our transitions and feelings seriously. Your feelings are important and meaningful. We can make sense of them together.
When you give yourself space to feel, you will begin to understand the depth of your feelings, and feel them with a new awareness.
Together, we will move through your dark feelings towards the light that illuminates your path to the JOY that is there for you on the other side.
