What Keeps You From Living the Life You Choose?
Are you living your life in a way that you allows you to be happy with the consequences of your choices?
If not, when do you plan to start?
What fears, lack of permission or old behaviours block you from living a life you choose?
Such questions reach down into your soul. They stir old wounds, test your defenses and illuminate the strategies we play out with our partners. We can examine the wounds of the heart, and we all have them, and help to break down the barriers that prevent you from living more fully.
No matter what you learned while growing up, you can live a life that you choose. Your future is flexible, and you can take risks to step into and live in the uncertainty of life. This is a courageous act.
Do you feel guilty, fearful or depressed when you begin to dream about a future that would take you out of your comfort zone? Do you dismiss your dreams because you are busy taking care of others?
Your thoughts and feelings are summoning you to a new future. We need to understand our dreams and be willing to step more fully into our lives. You already have permission.
As human beings, we are seeking a guarantee or some security that if we follow our dreams and live a life we choose, that we won’t fail. Living and trying something new is never a failure. We feel that life should always be harmonious and that if its not, we are somehow at fault, or that we’re failing. We’re not.
Many of us are called upon to live a life of deeper meaning. Our dreams help us point the way. Sadly, many of us turn away and do not listen to our own voice.
We can cultivate an openness to our life and whatever arises within us — and learn to live with uncertainty. You won’t know all the steps, but you can take the first one.
It is in this uncertain place, that we may expand and begin to live deeply, fully and completely.
