Faith, Surrender & Letting Go – Trusting Your Heart

May 29, 2014

One of the main themes I’ve noticed lately in my work with clients, has been the theme of surrender. Of having faith and letting go into a space that is uncertain and unknown.

Surrender: to give oneself up, as into the power of another; submit or yield.

This refers directly to the experience of surrendering to the feminine within ourselves. The part of us that is emotional, sensitive, uncertain, unsure, creative, open and community-oriented.

Many of us became very proficient at performing our inner masculine duties in the world, such as: being productive, ambitious, goal-oriented, strategic, and independent. These qualities may have served you well in your life for a while, but now it feels like it’s time to surrender to and have faith in the unknown — something deeper and more meaningful.

The feminine.

The parts of ourselves that we may have denied or controlled or turned away from, are the same aspects of ourselves that we can turn towards to find peace, joy and connection within.

We have beaten ourselves up for so long. We tell ourselves we aren’t good enough.

We give ourselves internal slaps on our wrist, and tell ourselves that unless we’re achieving in specific ways, then we aren’t achieving at all. And all of this internal self-talk is making us feel isolated, disconnected and alienated from our true selves and our true nature.

For many of us, female and male, now the time for a different approach to fulfillment and connection. An opportunity to shed our past selves and to open to surrender, letting go and having faith in the longings in our heart. The longings that we’ve been ignoring for too long.

It’s painful to repeat patterns that no longer serve us. When we let go of attitudes, beliefs and behaviours that no longer resonate with us, we evolve. We listen and pay attention to what our hearts are telling us.

We take time together to allow you to surrender into the unknown spaces within yourself.

Ask yourself – what is your heart longing for?

When I came to you I felt confused, disconnected and broken. Now, I'm on my way to feeling whole. Thank you.

I’m so glad I’m giving myself space to explore what’s happening in my life and to understand my feelings.

I've wanted to do this for a while and I'm so glad I did - I trust myself more now, I feel more calm and open - working together has changed the course of my life.
