What’s Guiding You?

January 15, 2017

Recently, someone shared some painful feelings with me:

I felt like I had to put the needs of other people first ALL my life. I was faking my moods, hiding my emotions, and acting strong – when I felt anything but strong. I was taking care of the emotional needs of others when I was growing up, has left me feeling sad, lost and confused.

Maybe you can understand and relate to those feelings. With this awareness, you can grow and learn what’s true for you – tap into your vulnerability, your feelings and your heart.

When you feel confused, ask yourself:

What do I believe in?

What is guiding me?

What am I ready to see?

Keep asking yourself these questions even if you don’t have the answers yet – it’s just so important to keep asking these questions.

Then, think about your next step. How will you go about it? What will you do?

To move on to your next phase, you can shift to listening to your inner guru, your inner self. This means quieting your emotions and really listening.

Give yourself time to overcome your spontaneous, immediate reactions. You have to accept your reactions, but you don’t have to carry them around for the rest of your life.

Listening to ourselves and beginning to know ourselves at a deep level, takes time – and we need to give ourselves to the time we need to unfold as we are.

Self-reflection is very important – we need time each day to reflect on what has happened in the days or hours before. Notice how you feel, see what arises and be with what arises for you. By starting to know yourself more deeply, you will begin to see yourself differently than you used to.

When you are ask yourself questions, be willing to challenge your own answers. When we reflect upon and learn about our own minds, bodies, hearts, and flowing energy, we can see we can develop our potential to become free and independent.

Many of us carry around the heavy burdens of emotional pain – resentment, dashed hopes, grief, bitterness – emotions that have not yet been felt and released through our minds, bodies and hearts. We must bring these difficult emotions to the surface so they can be purified through the body.

These difficult emotions are held in our body, and make us feel stuck or disconnected in our relationships, and in all aspects of our lives.

When we develop a practice of feeling these difficult emotions in the presence of another, we begin the letting go process – our central nervous system begins to shift and change, and our energy begins to flow once again.

One of the greatest powers we have is the power of choice, so ask yourself:

What am I saying yes to?

What am I denying in myself?

Am I being true to myself in my relationships?

Am I being true to my feelings?

There is a secret substance inside each women’s body – it’s a secret because many women do not know it lives inside of them or how to access it. Women can come to know this secret substance – it is love – divine consciousness, and life itself.

Our instinctual nature can be honoured by consciously paying attention to our body, honouring our own individual ways of knowing and being and expressing ourselves with love. We live our true nature within our relationships, with our intelligence, the cycles of our body, and our passion for life.

Are you feeling love and connection inside yourself? In your relationships?

Are you growing into greater awareness of the love that exists inside of you?

I've wanted to do this for a while and I'm so glad I did - I trust myself more now, I feel more calm and open - working together has changed the course of my life.
